My mascara ran...

Hi,

I'm Becky and I am mum to beautiful Zach who is almost six months old. I'm starting this blog mainly to get stuff off my chest and if you read it, perhaps you feel the same..so let me know!

Hmmm, where to start? Well my brain is pretty much frazzled anyway after a day of tears and baby sleeplessness but apart from that I entertained my (absolutely lovely) NCT friends today which is kind if exhausting in its own way anyway. Normally bubba is highly chilled during our Tuesday meets but today he was fractious and unsmiling. He's been like that for a few days now and if anyone else had had a miserable bubba (no temperature, no cold coming, no teething or nappy rash) just bog standard plain and simple MISERABLE you start to blame yourself.

I looked at the other gurgling, kicking and grinning babies and then at my sullen (how can a 5 month old be sullen?!) baby and wondered where I was going wrong. Of course I don't schedule his naps because I believe in being a free agent (hmmm, what so you can go to Tesco whenever you want?!) so maybe I need to give him more opportunities to sleep other than at five pm when its bedtime soon anyway...

Then husband told me indirectly via a mis sent text (like being dumped but shorter and less painful) that he was going for some beers tonight and I almost spontaneously combusted. Need I say it - my mascara ran. Heart leapt when I read 'meet me at Green Park or Bond Street' before I realised a)  I have a baby and thus cannot leave him at such short notice and b) it was not for me. Oh dear. Kind of thought a) before b) which shows how addled I am at the moment.

So - after a jolly session of tidying and folding and hanging and putting post bubba bedtime I suddenly decided to do this. What the hell? Someone else out there must be interested? No? Oh well. You are probably all too busy hanging and tidying post bedtime as well.

ps. At least it's too late for me to cook dinner for said husband---hooray!
